Our policies.

Clear expectations, care for your information, and respect for your home. These policies cover Marlene Cleaning’s website, cleaning inquiries, and cleaner introductions in our South Florida service area.

01 / YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy

Who this covers

Marlene Cleaning, founded by Marlene Clausen, handles information submitted through this website. This notice covers prospective customers and people asking about cleaning work. Our service area runs from West Palm Beach through Broward County, Florida.

What we collect

When you submit a request, we receive your name, phone number, city or ZIP code, request type, and the notes you provide. Cleaning requests also include the cleaning type and preferred date and start time. Cleaner introductions include the experience and availability you choose to share. We also receive your communication choices and confirmation that you agreed to the request terms.

The website processes connection information, including your IP address, to deliver pages and limit repeated submissions. It does not ask for payment-card details, Social Security numbers, identity documents, or account passwords. Please do not include alarm codes, door codes, medical information, or other sensitive details in the form.

How we use it

We use request information to check availability, discuss your cleaning needs, arrange follow-up, review cleaner inquiries, prevent misuse, and respond to concerns. This website does not use your form information for advertising, sell it, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing.

Who receives it

When messaging is enabled, your request is sent through Twilio to the cleaner or hiring contact handling it. That person receives the contact details and notes needed to respond. Twilio and mobile carriers process the message to provide delivery, and copies may remain in their systems and the recipient’s phone. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts and a photograph from Unsplash. Your browser connects to those providers, which can receive your IP address, browser information, and request details. These connections happen when the page loads, independently of form submission. See our cookie policy and the providers’ notices: Google, Unsplash, and Twilio.

Storage and retention

The current website does not keep a customer or applicant database. It processes form information to send the messages and temporarily keeps a request fingerprint and connection information to prevent repeated submissions. Temporary duplicate and rate-limit entries expire after about 15 minutes and are removed during later requests or when the server restarts. This does not delete copies already sent to a phone or messaging provider.

Follow-up messages and any later service records may be retained for handling the request, providing service, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and those needs. Deleting a browser tab or withdrawing permission to receive messages does not automatically delete previously sent information.

Your choices and requests

You may ask about information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or change how we contact you using the policy contact. We may need reasonable information to verify that a request is yours. We will handle requests as applicable law requires; some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved disputes. Please do not send an ID document unless we explain why it is necessary and provide an appropriate way to send it.

Cleaner applicants

Introductions are used to discuss potential cleaning work and are shared with the person handling hiring inquiries. They are not an employment offer or a request for a background check. Do not submit government identifiers, banking details, immigration documents, or health information. If additional information is needed later, we will explain the purpose and collection process separately.

Children and security

This website is intended for adults arranging home services or asking about work. We do not knowingly seek information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can address it.

No internet transmission or text message can be guaranteed completely secure. Share only what is needed for your inquiry. Text messages are not a suitable place for confidential access codes or financial information.

Updates

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the revision date above. Where a change requires a new notice or permission, we will provide it. An updated policy does not by itself provide consent for a new use of your information.

02 / YOUR BROWSER

Cookie policy

Cookies are small pieces of information websites can store in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage and tracking pixels.

What this website uses

  • First-party cookies: the current website does not set them.
  • Analytics or advertising: no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or marketing trackers are installed by Marlene Cleaning.
  • Browser storage: our code does not save your form entries or preferences in local storage or session storage. Your browser may independently offer autofill or restore form entries.
  • External assets: Google Fonts and Unsplash receive browser requests to load fonts and the homepage image. Their handling of these requests is covered by their own policies; this notice does not promise that outside providers never use cookies.

Your controls

You can block or remove cookies and limit third-party requests using your browser settings. Blocking an external asset may change the font or hide the image. The site has no optional cookie categories to turn on, so it does not present an “accept all” cookie banner. Browsing this site is not treated as consent to marketing or future tracking.

If we add optional analytics, advertising, or other tracking, we will update this policy and implement any required choices before enabling it. The current site does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track; it does not operate a sale or targeted-advertising program.

04 / WORKING TOGETHER

Terms of Service

Requesting a clean

You must be an adult authorized to arrange cleaning at the property. Provide accurate contact details and only information you are entitled to share. Our calendar and time field collect preferences; they do not show live cleaner availability. A booking exists only after we agree with you on availability, scope, price, and any applicable booking conditions.

Service area and scope

We accept inquiries for West Palm Beach through Broward County, including Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Coral Springs, Florida. Acceptance depends on the location, requested work, and availability. Service descriptions are a starting point for discussion; specific rooms, tasks, supplies, exclusions, and any special treatment must be agreed before the visit.

Pricing and payment

This website does not collect payments. We will discuss the price, payment arrangements, and any proposed extra charges before you commit. Additional work requires agreement. Any deposit, cancellation charge, or refund condition must be disclosed and agreed before booking; the website itself does not create such a fee.

Preparing your home

Arrange safe access and tell us about delicate surfaces, allergies, product restrictions, pets, and relevant hazards. Secure valuables and pets as appropriate. Do not put keys, alarm codes, or door codes in the public request form; arrange access directly after confirmation. Discuss any cameras in work areas before the visit.

Safety and scope changes

Cleaning may need to be paused, declined, or rescheduled if access is unavailable or conditions are unsafe. Hazardous materials, bodily fluids, pest infestations, mold remediation, heavy lifting, and work at height require a separate discussion and are not included merely by selecting a cleaning type. We will discuss any resulting change to the work or price.

Problems or damage

If something was missed or damaged, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with the service date and relevant details. Keep any helpful photos or records. We will review the concern and discuss an appropriate resolution. Reporting promptly helps us investigate; nothing here removes rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Website use

Do not send fraudulent requests, impersonate another person, interfere with the website, or attempt to access private systems. Availability and website information can change. If a published detail conflicts with a booking discussion, ask us to clarify before proceeding. External links have their own terms.

Your rights and policy changes

These terms do not restrict honest reviews, require private arbitration, or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Updated terms apply to future requests; they do not silently change an already agreed booking. A cleaner introduction does not establish employment or contractor status.

05 / WHEN PLANS CHANGE

Cancellations, refunds & service concerns

Change or cancel a request

Contact the person arranging your cleaning as soon as you know your plans have changed. If you have not yet received a response, use our policy contact. Sending another form does not automatically cancel or replace an earlier request. Ask for confirmation that the change was received.

Confirmed appointments

Cancellation deadlines and any fees must be explained and agreed before the appointment is booked. No fixed cancellation fee, no-show charge, or deposit is established by this policy. A new date is subject to availability.

Refunds and missed work

The current website does not charge your card or take a deposit. If you pay through a separately agreed arrangement and request a refund, we will review the agreed work, payment, reason for the request, and applicable consumer rights. Any proposed re-clean, adjustment, or refund will be discussed with you. This policy does not promise a blanket money-back guarantee or impose an “all sales final” rule.

If we need to reschedule

We will contact you to discuss another time and any payment already made for work that will not be performed. You do not have to accept a substitute appointment without agreement. Legal refund rights still apply.

07 / ACCESS FOR EVERYONE

Accessibility statement

We want people to be able to learn about our services and request cleaning without unnecessary barriers. The website includes labeled form fields, keyboard-operable controls, text alternatives for the main photo, and layouts that adapt to smaller screens.

If a page or form is difficult to use, tell us which page, what you were trying to do, and your preferred way to be contacted. Sharing your browser or assistive technology can help, but is optional. Use the policy contact or your existing cleaning contact to ask for assistance with an inquiry. We welcome feedback and will work to address reported barriers. This statement is not a certification of conformance to an accessibility standard.
